MDS Group is recruiting an Insurance Employee Benefits Specialist to join our Health and Employee Benefits Department in Porto and Lisbon.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in the insurance market, strong technical knowledge of insured employee benefits, and a passion for negotiation, analytics, and client advisory. The role combines claims analysis, market benchmarking, and client relationship, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to the design, placement, and renewal of employee benefits programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to clients and partners throughout the risk‑management process, including negotiation of optimal market solutions, product benchmarking, and due diligence.

• Analyse and prepare reports on claims experience and technical insurance metrics, using statistical models to identify trends and cost drivers.

• Interpret claims data across different coverages, with a particular focus on health insurance.

• Support client management teams in the day‑to‑day administration of employee benefits programmes, ensuring accurate and timely policy updates and communication.

What We Are Looking For

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance sector in a similar role (mandatory).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, partners, and internal teams.

• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

• Portuguese (native) and English (fluent, spoken and written) are mandatory.

• Solid command of Microsoft Excel (essential).
