Infrastructure Automation Engineer
Solutions 360, a service and technology services company of MDS Group is recruiting for an Infrastructure Automation Engineer.
This role focuses on supporting the automation of IT infrastructure setup, management, support, and operational processes using standard automation tools.
Function Responsibilities
Assist with setup of infrastructure automation processes and standards.
Developing, maintaining and troubleshooting PowerShell scripts and modules.
Deploy infrastructure using Terraform, develop modules and templates for repeatable, standardised
deployments.
Using Ansible for configuration management, developing playbooks and standard configurations
Packaging applications for deployment via automation tools.
Management of underlying infrastructure of Vantage platform including documentation, support, and continuous improvement.
Working with Vantage and other development teams on changes/upgrades to supporting
infrastructure.
Assisting IT teams with process automation. Gathering requirements, designing and documenting
solutions through to implementation and training in use of automation tools.
Knowledge sharing with other IT teams to increase utilisation of automation tools within the wider IT department.
Continuously updating technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials.
Assist with the remediation of risks identified through risk management process.
Assisting with day-to-day infrastructure management, resolving issues, deployments, migrations,
various project and BAU work.
Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various software and hardware
technologies supported by the team.
Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently keeping detailed logs of actions and time spent on tasks
About you
Strong PowerShell scripting skills
Broad, hands-on experience with IT infrastructure and automation
Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra, and Office 365
Experience with Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, and serverless)
Good understanding of networking concepts
Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible or similar)
Familiarity with application packaging tools (e.g., Chocolatey or similar)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and deliver high-quality services while meeting targets
Nice to have: Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, ServiceNow, and application packaging using Chocolatey
Fluent in English (mandatory)
Residence in Portugal (or willingness to relocate)
